The Illinois EMS Resource Center is a joint project of the Illinois College of Emergency Physicians (ICEP) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to provide a one stop location to locate educational opportunities for pre-hospital care providers and those interested in becoming EMTs throughout the State of Illinois.
Interested persons are able to access and search a database of EMT classes, refresher courses and nationally recognized continuing educational classes. This site also features an upcoming events page listing conferences, drills and other EMS related events in Illinois.
The Illinois EMS Resource Center will also keep you up to date on news that affects EMS in Illinois and nationally. Informational articles on specialty EMS topics such as tactical EMS and disaster preparedness will also be posted to enhance your education.
The Illinois EMS Resource Center also allows you to express your opinions and ask questions by linking you to the EMS Forum, a moderated online discussion space provided by ICEP for everyone who provides emergency care in Illinois, from the EMTs in the streets to system medical directors and administrators.
ICEP requires that all courses posted on the web site have either an IDPH site code or CECBEMS accreditation. ICEP does not warrant the educational methods presented in the listed courses and is not be responsible for the quality or content of the courses.
If you have questions about a specific class please contact the class provider using the contact information provided in the listing. If you have a question, comment or suggestion about the website or a course provider please contact Scot Allen at scota@icep.org
